- I used to be a software guy, now I'm a cleantech guy. I founded Voice Courier Inc. (VCi), in 1991, and led its expansion to 100 employees in three countries. VCi was profitable for each of the 12 years it was under my control. It was sold in 2005 and I then started VCi Green Funds, a private venture/seed fund to provide angel and venture capital to companies developing emission-reduction technologies. I am currently: - Director, VCi Green Funds Inc. - Board Member, Morgan Solar - Project Manager of the Green Bonds public policy team (www.greenbonds.ca) - an Action Canada Fellow. I have a B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering form the University of Waterloo, a M.Sc. from the University of London, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Toronto. I'm doing this blog because there is insufficient critical or exploratory analysis of this issue in print media. I recently published Ten Technologies to Save the World: Kicking the Fossil Fuel Habit, out in the US under Greenleaf Books.
